Public Health Orders

As of March 1, 2022, the California Department of Public Health is strongly recommending that all persons, regardless of vaccination status, continue to wear face coverings in most public indoor settings.

This includes restaurants, retail establishments, theaters and state and local government offices that serve the public.

The CDPH continues to require face coverings for all individuals in certain high-risk settings, such as when using public transit or when in homeless shelters, nursing homes and other health-care facilities.

Sacramento County’s public health order (which aligns with the CDPH’s) also requires face coverings for all individuals in specific high-risk settings.
